How to roast pecans in the air fryer
Pre-heat air fryer to 350ºF (180ºC). Add pecans in the basket in a single layer, and roast for 8 minutes.

Halfway through, stop and shake the basket, to make sure they are roasting evenly.
Once golden, transfer them to a plate. Let them cool completely before storing them in a jar, or serving.

Expert Tips
- Keep an eye on them. Pecans can go from golden to burnt very quickly, so make sure to check towards the end, as every air fryer is different.
- Cook for an additional 2 minutes if you want them extra toasty. But again, don't leave them for too long without checking.
- Transfer pecans to a jar once they're fully cooled down. You don't want soft and soggy nuts, which is what will happen if you store them while they're still warm.
Recipe FAQs
How to know when pecans are done roasting?
Simply take a bite. If they're crispy, taste nutty, and are darker both inside and out, they're ready!
Can I add seasoning?
Yes! You can make them new and fun by adding spices like cinnamon, ground ginger, smoked paprika, cumin, etc. In the recipe card below I shared 3 flavors you can try at home.
How long do air fryer pecans keep?
They taste best in the first few days after roasting, but they'll keep for up to 6 months in your pantry if stored properly.
Can you refresh stale nuts?
Yes! The air fryer is perfect for this job. Simply add your stale nuts to the basket and cook for 3-4 minutes. Make sure to check on them every 1-2 minutes to prevent burning.
